Suggestions are inspiration
EverMontage may suggest song titles and artists based on the occasion and mood. Those suggestions do not include the recording and do not grant permission to copy, synchronise, perform or publish it.
Spotify links are references
A Spotify song link helps everyone identify the exact artist, recording and version you mean. EverMontage does not download, copy or extract audio from Spotify, and a Spotify subscription or link does not grant permission to place that recording into a montage.
Your audio file
Upload only an exact audio file you own, created, commissioned or have permission to use. A streaming subscription or purchased download does not always include permission to place a song into a video.
Private events and online sharing
Permission needed for playback at a private event can differ from permission needed for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or another public platform. Those platforms may mute, block, monetise or remove a video containing copyrighted music.
Safer choices
Original compositions, commissioned music, public-domain recordings and properly licensed production music are usually the clearest options. Keep a copy of the license and check that it covers synchronization, event playback and any intended online sharing.
Your responsibility
You remain responsible for music you upload and how the finished montage is played or shared. EverMontage may decline to render or distribute a file when there is a clear rights concern.
