Before you choose the photographs
Plan a graduation slideshow from first day to next chapter
A graduation montage can follow one student or celebrate an entire class. Decide which story you are telling first, so the photo collection, chapter structure and screening time all work for the same audience.
Set a fair collection brief
For a class montage, ask for the same small number of photos per student and check permissions with the school or organizer. For an individual, collect early school days, friendships, activities and moments of personal growth.
Show more than the awards
Include rehearsals, sports, projects, trips and ordinary days alongside achievements. Review the balance between students or friendship groups, and confirm the spelling of every name used in titles.
Leave room for the next chapter
Finish with current portraits, graduation photographs when available or a short closing message. Check the screen and sound setup before the ceremony, especially if the montage must fit between speeches or presentations.
How many photos will fit?
For a class of 30, three photos per student at three seconds each already take four and a half minutes before titles, clips and transitions. Set the event's time limit before asking everyone to contribute.

Please send the agreed number of original photos for each student by the collection deadline, with the correct display name and year. Include everyday school moments as well as milestones. Follow the school or organizer's permission process before sharing photos of other students.
Before you call it finished
Check every student's name and photo allocation against the organizer's list. Confirm permissions, the ceremony time slot and whether the final video may be shared beyond the event; screening permission is not automatically permission to post publicly.
Keep public-sharing permission separate from permission to include a photo in a private montage. Only publish a finished example when the people and media rights involved allow it.
