A wedding photo montage can introduce both partners to the whole room. Whether it plays at a rehearsal dinner, reception or later family gathering, decide where the story ends before choosing the photographs.
Collect from both sides
Ask each family for childhood photographs and a short list of people who should appear. Original files and clear labels make it easier to balance different family archives without losing names or context.
Bring the timelines together
Begin with a short chapter for each partner, then move into meeting, shared adventures and the proposal. For a reception screening, finish with preparations or engagement pictures; wedding-day photographs can become a later version.
Plan the reception playback
Agree on a slot with your planner, venue or DJ. Keep titles readable on the actual screen and review the music cues with whoever is handling sound. A private family version may be longer than the one shown to guests.

A five-minute screening holds about 100 photos at three seconds each before titles, clips and transitions. Use that as a planning calculation, then adjust to the time you have and the moments you want guests to notice.
